[11 - 16 OCT 2005] Yet another business trip, this one for a meeting in Tokyo and I ended up using my own vacation days and staying extra through the weekend as well.

Someone from the group wanted to order scotch on the rocks and asked for "Scotch with ice cubes", thinking this will least confuse our Japanese waitress.
Turned out this only served to further confuse our waitress, requiring a kanji enabled member of our group to write down the kanji for "ice"--upon seeing which the waitress exclaimed, "Oh!
